Privacy Policy

The controller is Devium s.r.o., Varšavská 715/36, 120 00 Prague 2, Czech Republic, Company ID: 17931525 – the Novak Design studio. For privacy matters, reach us at hello@novakdesign.sk. We have not appointed a DPO – no such obligation applies to us.

We process only what you send us yourself via the contact form or e-mail: your name, e-mail address and the content of your message, plus your phone number and company name if you choose to fill in those optional fields. It is used to reply to your enquiry and for the follow-up business conversation. We send no newsletters or marketing e-mails.

Processing relies on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. If no contract follows, we continue under legitimate interest per Art. 6(1)(f): answering a business enquiry and keeping a record of it.

We keep correspondence for 12 months from the last communication, then delete it. If a project starts, contractual and accounting records follow statutory retention periods.

We never sell your data or share it for anyone else's purposes. It is technically processed for us by:

• Vercel Inc. (USA) – website hosting and form processing (server functions run in Frankfurt, EU)
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) – sending contact-form messages and receiving e-mail for @novakdesign.sk addresses; e-mail is routed through servers in Ireland (EU), but message content and delivery logs are stored in the USA
• Google (Gmail) – the mailbox that receives contact-form messages and e-mail sent to @novakdesign.sk addresses; Google may also process it in the USA

Vercel, Resend and Google are US companies, so data is also transferred to the USA. All three are certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023; Vercel and Resend additionally safeguard the transfers with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. Traffic is measured with Vercel Analytics, which runs without cookies and without identifying visitors – we only see aggregate numbers. The site never redirects you based on your browser language; if your browser prefers another language, it only offers you a link to that language version. A functional cookie, NEXT_LOCALE, is set only once you choose a language yourself (with the language switch or in that offer), so the offer is not shown again. It contains only the language code (sk, cs or en) and expires when you close your browser. If you choose the light or dark appearance yourself, your browser keeps that choice in its local storage (localStorage, key nd-theme); it holds only the value light or dark, is never sent to the server and is removed when you switch back to automatic or clear the site data. Fonts, images and videos are served from our own server, with no third-party services. None of this is linked to you as a person.

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, restrict processing, object, and request portability. Just write to hello@novakdesign.sk – handled free of charge within one month. You may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz) or the Slovak Data Protection Office (dataprotection.gov.sk).
