Business process automation and system integrations
I connect the tools you already use and leave the repetitive work to the system. Data is entered once; reports, e-mails and calculations then run on their own.

When it makes sense
- Someone re-types data from one system into another every week.
- Management reports are stitched together by hand from several spreadsheets.
- Wages, costs or commissions are calculated by hand and mistakes show up late.
- A customer or a colleague waits for an e-mail that someone has to send manually.
What I automate
Business processes and data work. I do not do industrial or manufacturing automation (PLCs, machines).
API integrations
Systems you now connect through exports and imports will exchange data on their own.
Automatic reports
An overview of costs, revenue or attendance arrives by e-mail or is always up to date on a dashboard.
E-mails and alerts
Reminders, confirmations and alerts go out at the right moment, without anyone having to remember them.
Automated spreadsheets
If Google Sheets is enough for you, I automate it: calculations, checks and overviews without copying by hand.
Calculations and checks
Wages, advances or costs per job, calculated the same way every month. The system also flags missing entries.
From real projects
An automated Google Sheet with three contract types, daily attendance states, payroll calculation and costs split by site, built for people without technical knowledge.

Lukáš Novák
Senior frontend and React Native developer, founder of Novak Design
Novak Design is a one-developer studio. You work with me directly: the intro call, the design, the code and the launch are all mine, with no sales layer and no lost-in-translation hand-offs. I have built apps since January 2018, first in teams working for J&T Banka, Škoda Auto, Groupon and the Czech sports federations, and since 2026 under my own studio.

How I approach it
First, I map what repeats
We go through what your company does by hand every week and start where it saves the most time.
I use what you already have
If a tool you use can send or receive data, I connect to it. I only add a new system when there is no other way.
A spreadsheet or an app
Sometimes a well-automated Google Sheet is enough; sometimes it is holding you back and it is time for an app. Polákstav went through both steps.
No silent failures
Every automatic step can be traced, and when something fails, the system tells you.
How we work together
Four steps with clear timelines. You always know where the project stands.
0130-60 min
Intro call
We talk about your company, the problem and what success looks like. No technical jargon.
021-2 days
Proposal and scope
You get in writing what I will build, what it will cost and when it will be ready. No hidden fees, no vague estimates.
032-8 weeks
Design and build
I work in short cycles. You see progress every week and can give feedback at any time.
041-2 days
Launch and handover
We launch the system together and I show your team how to use it. I stay available after launch.
What automation costs
The price depends on how many systems are connected, whether they offer an API or a data export, and how many exceptions your process has. After the intro call you get a written proposal with the price and the delivery date within 1-2 days.
What drives the price
- Number of connected systems
- An available API or data export
- Exceptions and rules in the process
- Reports and e-mails as outputs
Questions
What can a company automate?
Mostly repetitive work with data: re-typing between systems, calculations, reports, reminders and e-mails. I do not do industrial or manufacturing automation (PLCs, machines).
Can you connect a system that has no API?
Often yes, for example through file exports and imports. Whether that will be reliable, I can judge once you show me the system.
Is Google Sheets enough, or do we need an app?
If a few people use the spreadsheet and the data is clear, a well-automated Google Sheet is often enough. When formulas start breaking, rates get overwritten in past months or nobody knows who changed what, it is time for an app.
What if the automation stops working?
I design it so that errors are never silent: every step can be traced and a failure sends an alert. I stay available after launch.
How soon will I see results?
We start with the step that saves the most work. You see progress every week and get the exact date in the written proposal.
